William R. Bright,
81, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, died at his home in Orlando, Fla., from health complications on July 19. Bright’s evangelistic booklet, The Four Spiritual Laws, has been printed in some 200 languages. In 1979 he commissioned the Jesus film, which has become the most widely viewed and translated film in history. Bright’s work through Campus Crusade will continue under the leadership of Steven Douglass, whom Bright tapped as his successor in 2001. Robert W. Cole was recently appointed president of the Bible League. Cole has served as national director of the Bible League in Australia since 1997. The Bible League provides millions of Bibles for evangelism and discipleship worldwide. calendar
