newsmakers Doug Seebeck was named acting president of the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development Organizations (AERDO). Seebeck has been the executive director of Partners for Christian Development (PCD) since 1997. He and his wife live in Grand Rapids, Mich., with their five children.
Louis and Susan Sutton were appointed the US directors of WEC International. The Suttons have served in Chad since 1990. Jim and Judy Raymo, the present directors, will continue to serve with WEC as area representatives.
Jerry White, international president of The Navigators, has initiated the selection of a successor to be named this fall. White has served The Navigators since 1966 and will continue to chair the US board of directors.
