newsmakers Clive Calver has announced his resignation as World Relief’s president effective September 30. He will continue as the organization’s minister-at-large until March 31. World Relief is the National Association of Evangelical’s global aid and relief arm. Tim Zeimer, World Relief executive director, will serve as interim CEO while World Relief seeks a new president.
David Herlan has been appointed director of mobilization of Bible-Centered Ministries International. He was a pastor in Pennsylvania for 15 years.
David C. Long has been appointed president of OMS International. For the last nine years, he and his family have served in Hong Kong as OMS missionaries. J.B. Crouse, OMS’ former president, will minister as president emeritus.
Robert Magwood has been named director of SEND International of Canada. Magwood, who has directed the Mobilization Department since 2003, has served in Ukraine and Russia. He replaces Leander Rempel, who will continue to work in the Canadian office.

Schools are taught in Chennai (Madras), India, and Mumbai (Bombay), India. The Mumbai school is taught in Hindi/English and the Chennai school is taught in Tamil/English.
