Mission and Purpose
Lausanne World Pulse (LWP) exists to support the advancement of the gospel by providing missions and evangelism news, information and analysis in a global context. LWP is a monthly online publication that includes updates on news around the world, regional reports from key leaders and practitioners in missions and evangelism, information on various people groups and trends in the Church and missions today. LWP also offers readers resources and tools for further study, Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization (LCWE) information and calendar of missions and evangelism-related events and conferences.
LWP is committed to five purposes:
- Conveying the mission and vision of LCWE
- Communicating the call to global evangelism
- Connecting international Christian leaders by sharing information and by providing strategic networking opportunities
- Serving as a catalytic force for collaborative evangelism efforts and initiatives
- Providing a theological foundation in working towards fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission
Audience
LWP readers include international Christian leaders, members of regional and national Christian leadership networks, missions professors and students, denominational leaders, missionaries, evangelists, pastors, and others interested in learning more about the global state of missions and evangelism.
Editorial Policies
LWP accepts articles on current world missions and evangelism topics. Articles are to reflect issues relevant to evangelism and missions, including the challenges and opportunities of evangelism, trends, and changes in the Church and on the mission field. Opinions and editorials on topics related to missions and evangelism are welcome. LWP is not an academic journal, therefore articles should not to be restricted to theological discussions. LWP is also not a devotional publication. Submitted articles should be of practical value, offering readers insight into cultures or issues of relevancy in the Church today.
Creativity in writing and presentation of information is welcome. We recognize no one person can fulfill the Great Commission, and are therefore grateful to present ideas and information from various vantage points so that we might learn together how to more strategically and thoughtfully engage in sharing Jesus Christ throughout the world.
Submission Guidelines
- Submission of an article does not guarantee acceptance of the article for publishing in LWP.
- Submitted articles should be between 800 and 2,000 words.
- Permission to use any sources cited in the body of the article or any contributing sources is the responsibility of the author and should be referenced at the end of the article.
- For security reasons, because of the “open” nature of the Internet and email, before any content is sent to LWP please be sure any information (names, locations, other specifics) that should not be broadly distributed or posted on the Internet is removed.
- Photos, images, tables, and graphs that support the content of the article are also welcome. By sending LWP the photos, images, tables, and graphs, the author is indicating that they have the permission to use them and are granting the same use permission to LWP.
- Include with the article submission a short bio of forty words or less and, if possible, an electronic photo to use with the bio.
- All articles, stories, and supporting content must be submitted electronically, via email to: [email protected].
- Lausanne World Pulse reserves the right to edit or reject submitted content.
- Submitted content will not be returned.
